I’m a travel writer and journalist specialising in slow and sustainable adventures. I’ve written extensively about ways to travel without cars or planes, from rail journeys and long-distance hiking to ferries and other low-impact routes.

Alongside slow travel, I cover literary travel, digital nomadism, food, hotel reviews and destination guides. I also have deep knowledge of the UK’s Lake District National Park, one of my favourite places to write about and spend time.

I began my journalism career on the editorial team of three B2B fashion magazines, first as an editorial assistant and later as a staff writer covering features. During this time I attended international trade shows and fashion events, travelling on press trips to destinations like Peru and Morocco. These experiences sparked a deeper interest in travel storytelling and ultimately led me to pivot from fashion to travel writing.

Today I write travel features for newspapers, magazines and digital publications, with a focus on slower ways of exploring the world.
